Trikotting

Hello and welcome, bonjour et bienvenue!

This is my first post and I will take the opportunity to introduce myself.

I'm Laura and I like to knit :) I'm 29 and recently moved to the Lorraine region of France at the end of last year with my husband and 2 children.

I learnt to knit when I was younger with my grandma and have recently rediscovered how great it is! Knitting has this stereotype attached to it - it's dated, it's lame and it's only for grannies. They could not be more wrong! Knitting (and lots of other handicrafts too) has come back with a bang. There are fabulous wools and yarns available and thousands of great patterns for cute/fashionable/very desirable knitwear and, the best part is, it's all handmade and homemade! My daughter is insanely proud to wear something I've knitted her to school and very loudly annouce that I made them for her. I'm proud too!

So all in all, I just want to share some of my creations with you via this blog. I'm not a knitwear designer, nor a teacher - I'm just someone who has a passion for this hobby. So much so that, even working full time and looking after 2 children under 6, I still find the time to knit. It's what relaxes me after a long day (especially when paired with a glass of wine or a beer!) and I'm proud to be a knitter!
